Important CM-6M Features

The CM-6M has an speech diaphragm built-in which ensuring easy communication with other people around you. Having a big hunk of rubber over your face can make it hard to be heard, weird.

The CM-6M only comes in one size and Gas Masks can be inherently uncomfortable, so the CM-6M has a five-point rubber-textile head harness which is easy to adjust and make long term use tolerable.

The mask is designed so that it creates a tight seal around your face. Just make sure your face is free of facial hair, so you can ensure a good seal. Sorry beard brigade.

There is an inner mask which keeps your exhaled breath from fogging up the visor. It also reduces the CO2 levels inside the mask, again to make the mask comfortable as much as possible during use.

The visor of the CM-6M has a nice wide field of view, with the effective field of vision of 77.6% and overlapped field of vision is 83.8%.

Speaking of the visor, it's equipped to be compatible with the 3M Safety 6878 Spectacle Kit (sold separately.) You don't want to wear contacts if you expect to be in a conflict area where you might need to rinse out your eyes. They will need to be removed and discarded. Instead get prescription inserts if you can.

The mask comes with a hydration system and canteen and it is also compatible with CamelBak water bladders with a Type M adapter (not included.)

This is hugely helpful, you'll want to be able to drink water during stressful events without taking the mask on and off and risking exposure.
