We recently got our hands on a THRIVE Solar Lantern. It's an inexpensive, solar-rechargeable LED lamp which is perfect for backup and emergency preparedness needs.

A tool is only useful when you have it with you. And how many of us can carry around a screwdriver, file, bottle-opener, knife, and tweezer all the time?

We had been in the market for a while trying to find a small portable lantern which would provide us with a good hands-free ambient lighting for around our campsites.
